The exhibition presents the works awarded in the National Competition of the Goldsmiths and Jewelers. Karol Kowalski "Amber crafts". This competition, organized by the Goldsmiths and Jewelers' Industry Commission at the Pomeranian Chamber of Craft Small and Medium Enterprises, in partnership with the city of Gdańsk and the International Gdańsk Fair, has been promoting the highest class jewelry in two categories - juniors and seniors for over 20 years. The subject of the exhibition are selected works from the entire period of the competition (since 2003).
This is a unique opportunity to meet with the effects of talents and professional skills of goldsmiths and young adepts of this craft, specializing in traditional and modern goldsmith techniques, who in their work with amber combine tradition with modernity.
At the exhibition you can admire about 100 works by, among others Waldemar Sawa, Grzegorz Tryjafaczka, Dominika Gawlak-Długosz, Maciej Łobocki and Jakub Śliwowski. Students of state high schools of art in Katowice and Częstochowa also present their projects.
The exhibition is organized by: Amber Museum in Gdańsk, the Pomeranian Chamber of Craft Small and Medium Enterprises in Gdańsk and the Association of Maritime Cities and Municipalities.
