Take part in workshops and do amber work. We guarantee respite from everyday duties and worries, talking about our dreams in good company and learning the basic methods of manual processing of Baltic amber, which contains succinic acid, which distinguishes it from about a hundred other fossil resins. Even though it is an acid, it has a positive effect on humans: it stimulates, regulates, disinfects and detoxifies. Amber has a specific smell and is a source of energy. When rubbed with the hand, it smells similar to the scent of incense and attracts particles of dry grass and scraps of paper. In this way, it is charged electrically negatively but "positively" and friendly to humans. Thanks to these features, people have attributed healing and magical properties to it for centuries. They call it the "stone of life", an amulet that heals, helps and protects.
Natural Baltic amber from Gdańsk and the Vistula Delta is distinguished by its particular richness of varieties, color diversity and degree of transparency. It is a hardened resin, but light and brittle. It acquired these features over millions of years as it was basked in the dunes by the sun's rays, weathered in the sands or compressed by the pressure of a glacier. There are no two ambers the same, each is unique and of exceptional beauty, with its color changing over the years. Thanks to this, Baltic amber has been a valuable jewelry material for centuries and it is not without reason that it is called a noble resin. Feel the magic, touch our cultural heritage and take part in workshops.
Goal of the workshop: participants will independently make work from Baltic amber using replicas of archaic tools, take a break from everyday duties and gain positive energy, and visit the world's largest amber fair. Participants will use hand drills for drilling holes, files, and materials for final processing, such as chamois, flannel, sandpaper and polishing pastes.
