A retrospective exhibition of Andrzej Boss, professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, prepared to mark the 40th anniversary of his creative work.
Andrzej Boss graduated from the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Łódź. In 1985, he earned degrees in the Jewelry Design, Drawing, and Sculpture Studios, and has been employed at his alma mater ever since. Since 2008, he has headed the Jewellery Department at the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź. In 2010, he was awarded the title of Professor of Fine Arts. He also runs the Goldsmithing Studio.
He has held over a dozen solo exhibitions, participated in over 150 group exhibitions worldwide, won eight goldsmithing competitions, and served on the juries of ten. In addition to jewelry, he designs functional objects and small sculptural forms. For years, Professor Boss has been creating unique jewelry that combines art and message. His work is rooted in the belief that jewelry should convey a message, and that artists should use it to tell stories about themselves and the world around them. The exhibition will feature works from various periods of the artist's career, including his latest, specially created anniversary exhibition.
