The retrospective of Andrzej Boss, professor of the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź prepared on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of creative work.
Andrzej Boss graduated from the State College of Fine Arts in Łódź. In 1985 he defended diplomas in the Jewelry Design Laboratory, Drawing Laboratory and Sculpture and has been employed at his home university since then. Since 2008, he has been managing the Jewelry Department at the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź. In 2010 he received the title of professor of visual arts. He runs a workshop of goldsmiths.
He is the author of several individual exhibitions, a participant in over 150 collective exhibitions around the world, a laureate of eight and a juror of ten goldsmith competitions. In addition to jewelry, he designs utility items and small sculptural forms . At the heart of his work is the conviction that jewelry should be a message, and artists through it should talk about themselves and the world that surrounds them. The exhibition will present works from various periods of the artist's work, including the latest, created especially for this exhibition.
