About the Association:
Association of Goldsmiths' Form Creators - a creative association founded in 1991 in Warsaw on the initiative of Marek Nowaczyk. It brings together the majority of Polish artists and designers involved in goldsmithing. It currently has nearly 200 members. In the years 1991-2011, Andrzej Bielak was the president of STFZ. Currently, this function is held by Marcin Tymiński, who continues the tradition and cultivates the legacy of his predecessors. STFZ has made enormous contributions to the creative community and to the development of contemporary goldsmithing in Poland, both in the artistic, legal, organizational and promotional aspects.
The aim of the Association is to promote the art of goldsmithing in Poland and abroad and to provide STFZ members with wide access to industry information, networks of contacts and current and archival materials. STFZ achieves its goals by co-organizing exhibitions, competitions, open-air events and courses. STFZ regularly organizes the PREZENTACJE Artistic Jewelry Competition, which is an overview of the creative achievements of goldsmiths from Poland and, since 2018, also from abroad. The Association, together with the Amberif (Gdańsk) and Gold Expo (Warsaw) trade fairs, co-creates the Designers' Gallery, i.e. an arcade presenting original and unique projects of high value not only in terms of workshop but also artistic value, enabling goldsmith artists to present themselves at national industry events.
Since its inception, the Association of Goldsmiths' Artists has been cooperating with the Art Gallery in Legnica and supporting the Legnica SILVER Festival, each year honoring the winner of the International Goldsmiths' Art Competition with its own award. The distinction is awarded in the form of a statuette designed by Jacek Byczewski.
In the STFZ space, the exchange of views, thoughts and ideas, mutual inspiration, as well as the promotion of creative expression in jewelry as a full-fledged field of art are extremely important.
