The Art Zone is a non -commercial market zone, where art is presented and promoted, and in particular modern artistic jewelry in its various manifestations: from traditionally understood jewelry as decorations made using goldsmith techniques, to jewelry in a broad concept of a work of art (object, small sculptural form or installation) socio-critical.
The aim of the Art Zone is to popularize contemporary goldsmith art and artistic jewelry, their promotion as fields of equal work with other fields of contemporary art, showing the mutual impact of various fields of art and the possibilities arising from interdisciplinary exhibitions and showing contemporary goldsmiths in a new perspective and interpretation, combining utility with the need for a personal creator by a personal artist content and values.
The Art Zone is not only a place of art presentation, but also a place of artistic and cultural education. In the Art Zone there are lectures and presentations on amber and jewelry delivered by representatives of universities and cultural institutions as well as independent experts. Hence, the fair is visited in large numbers by students and lecturers of artistic faculties, as well as by artists-gold, designers, collectors, art critics, gallerists, and trade fair media representatives.
There is also a publication subzone in the art zone, where popular science publications, catalogs of artistic exhibitions, jewelry warehouses, etc. are presented.
The partners of the Art Zone are: International Amber Association, Association of Goldsmiths Creators, the Amber Museum in Gdańsk, the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź.
