Jewelry is both applied art and an affirmation of personality. Through my work, I strive to express my relationship to the world and respond to what's happening around me. I enjoy building compositions by combining seemingly incongruous elements and forms or shapes drawn from architecture, particularly from the modernist period. I incorporate elements from found objects, photographs, and graphics, often employing metaphor. I strive to ensure that the jewelry I create helps, at least in part, to preserve memory. Jewelry is both wearable art and serves to complement one's appearance and accentuate one's personality.
